- 1 package of Fairbury Brand Hot dogs
- 2 sticks of butter
- 2 cups of vegetable oil
- 1 1/3 cups of pancake mix
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 egg
- Cut Fairbury Brand Hot Dogs into bite size pieces.
- In a saucepan melt the butter with 2 cups of oil.
- Let cool and skim milk solids from the top.
- Pour into fondue pot and heat to 375.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine pancake mix with milk and egg.
- Beat with wire whisk until smooth.
- Dip meat bites into pancake batter.
- Let drain.
- Cook in fondue pot until heated and evenly browned.
- Coat with maple syrup.
